Description
The purpose of the tender contest is to enter into a contract for the purchase of a new ELISA machine. We are in need of a machine that automates pipetting, washing and reading absorbance for 96-well ELISA plates. The machine must be able to analyse several plates at once. It must also be able to process plates that not full (less than 12 rows). The machine must process viscous liquids consisting of buffer with brain homogenate. This can be a challenging material to work with, so we will be manually transferring the brain material to the ELISA plate before the machine takes over for analysis. The analysis consists of three incubations, with the first being dependent on a rotating/shaking motion. The analysis uses two washing solutions, which foam a bit, so the the machine must be able to handle foam. The machine must be able to pipette five different reagents over to the ELISA plates. It must have good traceability for each individual sample/plate so that we can trace the processes in case of error. We would like a user-friendly machine that is intended for use by many users and large samples.
