Construction work for school buildings

Stavanger Municipality, c/o the Municipal Council for the Environment and Development, hereafter called the Contracting Authority, invites tenderers to a competition for the renovation of Tastaveden School, in a turnkey contract in accordance with NS8407, with solution proposals, in accordance with the procurement method Best Value Procurement (BVP). Tastaveden School dates from the start of the 1960s. The supporting construction is mainly cast floors/beams and concrete/steel pillars. The load-bearing inside and outside walls are mainly concrete. The remaining outside walls have plating or bricks. The ground floor was cast on site. The current building is approx. 6 600 m2 gross. The renovation involves demolishing the carrying constructions and converting and rebuilding in accordance with Stavanger Municipality's “Area norms for new school buildings 2014”, hereafter called the Area Norm, as far as possible. The renovation also includes all of the school´s outside area. The project will be a pilot project for a “waste free” construction site. The building is to be engineered and constructed for a functional period of 40 years. Temporary school premises are not included in the contract work. The contract is subject to a political decision on the implementation of the project up until the contract is signed.
