The Yarm Road site has historically operated as a Waste Transfer Station (WTS) and is being repurposed for continued waste management use. A weighbridge is already installed on-site; however, following an inspection, it has been confirmed that the mechanism is no longer functional and requires replacement. A weighbridge is a critical component of WTS operations, as it ensures accurate weighing of recycling vehicles delivering material and vehicles transporting material off-site, which is essential for compliance, operational efficiency, and reporting.
