Providing relationship coaching support in certain circumstances to rebuild relationships within a family home, giving time to better plan housing options rather than becoming homeless. Lot 1: Lot 1 – Early Intervention Public awareness campaign to highlight the benefits of working through relationship breakdown to support stability of remaining in the family home and take time to plan future housing options. A developed public awareness campaign would become an enduring resource to continue to communicate this message. Non-violent relationship breakdown has been a long-standing driver of homelessness in Fife. Since 2007/08, an average of 609 households per year have cited this as the main reason for their homelessness application. Fife Council Housing Service intends to conduct a procurement exercise, to establish a contract(s) for a pilot service to help support relationship stability to help young people to remain with their family if it is safe to do so. Lot 2: Lot 2 – Relationship Coaching Support Providing relationship coaching support in certain circumstances to rebuild relationships within a family home, giving time to better plan housing options rather than becoming homeless. Families requiring support will have access to a Relationship Coach, who will work with the family and signpost to other support services with the aim of preventing a homeless presentation. Route 1 - referral via family/individual responding to public awareness campaign Route 2 – referral via presentation to Housing Services at time of homeless assessment Relationship Coaching Support will also include the monitoring and measurement of the impact of this pilot project.
