Description

The Contracting Entity intends to procure a Contract for the Design and Build of 400kV Shannon Estuary Cable Project. The Contracting Entity requires the manufacture and installation of a 400kV land and subsea cable circuit in the South of Ireland. The new 400 kV cable circuit is required to be installed in the Shannon Estuary and adjoining lands to connect Moneypoint 400 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Substation to a 400kV Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) compound within Kilpaddoge 220 kV Substation. It is the Contracting Entity’s current intention to award the full offshore and onshore Cable works in a single contract. However, in order to support the efficient delivery of the 400kV Shannon Estuary Cable Project, the Contracting Entity may for commercial, technical or programme reasons opt to remove some or all of the onshore cable scope prior to the final award of the Contract. Refer to section A.1.1 of the PQQ for a more detailed description of the scope of works.
