Brentwood District Council has awarded a contract for the provision of a digital, plug‑and‑play monitoring solution to support independent living. The system is designed to meet the needs of residents within the Council's sheltered housing schemes, enabling enhanced safety, monitoring, and support. Lot 1: The contract covers the supply of technology enabled care equipment to support independent living within sheltered housing schemes. This includes the provision of approximately 450 digital "plug and play" monitoring units (hub and pendant starter packages), associated SIM connectivity, and smoke detection devices. The solution is designed to provide a reliable, easy-to-install monitoring system that enhances resident safety and wellbeing through alarm functionality and remote connectivity. The procurement is for supply-only, with all goods required to meet relevant quality, safety, and compliance standards and be delivered within defined timescales. The contract also includes warranty provisions, replacement requirements for faulty goods, and supplier obligations to ensure product performance, compliance, and timely delivery in accordance with the specification.
