Provision of Tech Enabled Care (Telecare)

Description

Liverpool City Council is progressing through a transformation programme of Adult Social Care designed to improve social, health and wellbeing outcomes for our residents. This is strongly rooted in our Living Better Lives vision, which states that “working together, we will enable Liverpool residents to live full active lives; to live independently and to play an active part in their local communities.” The vision places the person at the centre of everything we do. Transforming our offer means a strong focus on prevention, including using digital services, technology and data to improve the quality, responsiveness and delivery of our services for our residents, businesses and partners. We want to empower and support people to lead independent and fulfilled lives and one of the key drivers to meeting this ambition is to redesign our technology enabled care (TEC) offer to adopt a ‘TEC First’ approach across all Adult Social Care services. Future TEC services in Liverpool should empower and support people to live independently and safely in their own homes and communities. Through a longer-term vision, and in recognition of the pace of change in available technologies, we recognise that the future service model for TEC must also ensure and plan for the evolving needs of Liverpool’s residents.
