This notice concerns the procurement of 1 chassis and transferring of existing bodies to the new chassis. The background is that the current chassis is in such poor condition that the cost of repair would be unreasonably high and presents a risk to divers and the service that is to be performed. A new offer has been received for an equivalent and compatible chassis so that the existing body can be fitted directly onto the new chassis, and there will be short downtime for the vehicle. Chassis the chassis is of the brand Mercedes Atego and will be delivered by Bertel. O. Steen in Ålesund. Only Bertel O. Steen imports Mercedes Atego in Norge- therefore, a tender contest would only receive one tender offer as the existing body is to be fitted on the chassis. Assembly and review of the existing body, as well as assembly of the new chassis, are carried out by HST, — including documentation and approval from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. The contracting authority believes that, in this case, there is reason to enter into a contract without announcing a contest due to the long delivery time and challenges with compatibility. This voluntary ex-ante transparency notice is being announced to make the market aware that a contract will commence in accordance with PPR § 21-5
