Description
In 2001, Liverpool City Council (LCC) signed a PFI contract for 4 secondary schools and 11 primary schools to provide a combination of new build and refurbishment projects in addition to all facilities management, catering and lifecycle works over a 30 year period. An additional Primary School (Springwood Heath) was added as a Change Request in 2005. In 2007, the original contract with Jarvis was refinanced with Semperian and entitled the XJ4 Refinancing - Liverpool Amended and Restated Project. The contract is due to terminate in 2031. The main PFI contract is between the Council (LCC) and the PFI Provider who is Liverpool School Services Limited (LSSL) – the PFI holding company for Imagile. LSSL then sub-contract facilities management services to SPIE Facilities Services and Catering services to Chartwells.
