Glasgow Life is exploring options for the provision (via hire) of public address (PA) Systems and ancillary services associated with the Infrastructure and delivery of a public or private event scheduled by the Council and associated organisations. The scope may include but not be limited to services for events occurring both indoors and outdoors in the following discipline areas: — main PA both hanging or ground supported, — delay tower (if required), — detail system used to connect to delays, — stage monitor system, — microphone package including radio mics systems, — FOH desk, — monitor desk, — all control and cabling, — all staff, — transport, — please note that at this stage the scope of the framework and its lots have yet to be determined and therefore may change from those stated in this notice. PA systems are an integral part of events and as such we require systems suitable for music from a stage/s or arena/s, as well as speech, sports commentary and methods of communicating safety and information messages, these systems will predominantly be powered using a temporary power supply. PA needs may be utilised by DJ’s and CD playback, musicians and performance artists and vocal announcements/commentary. The situations can vary from approximately 40 attendees covering an area of approx. 50 m2 to 8 000 attendees covering an area of approx. 3 000 m2. These installs/hires could include items such as: — radio headset mics, — single radio mic, — monitor desks, — 4 way monitor mix, — 6 way monitor mix. Please note there will be mix of community stages that may or may not have a FOH position. — please note that at this stage the scope of the framework and its lots have yet to be determined and therefore may change from those stated.
