Description

In summary, the Goods comprise: The Supply of a Prototype Software Tool for the Milk Collection Network for University College Dublin (UCD) in conjunction with the Dairy Processing Technology Centre (DPTC). Tenders are sought for the provision of a ‘Prototype Software Tool for the Milk Collection Network’. The objective is to develop a prototype software tool which dynamically optimizes the milk collection network from suppliers (i.e. dairy farms) into an industry partner processing plant. The aim is to deploy the software tool at industry partner sites in parallel with their current milk collection planning process and then to evaluate the effectiveness of this prototype tool. The prototype should be a cloud based software solution which will be deployed at two Dairy Processing Technology Centre (DPTC) industry partner sites on a trial basis for a period of two-three months during the 2019 peak milk processing time period to evaluate its effectiveness as a means to plan and optimize the milk collection process from suppliers (farms) to milk processor. The Prototype Software Tool will remain the property of the DPTC for a period of 12 months from the completion of the project, with the Option to purchase the Software at a later date. The successful tenderer will be bound by University College Dublin’s Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and by the terms of the DPTC Intellectual Property (IP) Agreement.
