Description
A framework agreement for broadband internet to and from Jan Mayen, with a position of 71° North, will be procured. See Part II (General contract provisions), Appendix B (Requirements specification) for further information on the scope of the procurement. Lot 1: The current communication systems on Jan Mayen are primarily based on GEO satellites, which results in limitations in terms of lag and bandwidth requirements. The OneWeb terminal OW70L-DAC (satellite broadband) has therefore been procured to achieve increased bandwidth and lower lag to the mainland.
