Atlantic Technological University Connemara Campus Single Party Framework for Works to the Centralised Wood Dust Extraction Industrial Vacuum and Compressor Systems

The Contracting Authority intends to execute a multi-phase project for mechanical and electrical upgrade works to include the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and certification for ATUs Wood Dust Extraction System, Woodwork Bench Vacuum System and Compressed Air System based on the Connemara campus. Due to the nature of the work and its location (ATU Connemara Campus), all upgrade work must be undertaken during the summer college break between 1st July 2024 and 31st August 2024. The Contracting Authority intends to establish the framework on the foot of an Initial Contract. This Initial Contract will be for phase one of the project with the Contracting Authority reserving the right to exercise contract options for the delivery of phases two and three . The Contracting Authority intends to progress with Phase one of the project in summer 2024. The wood dust extraction system was initially installed is now nearing end of life. At present the current system serves 3 no Machine Halls. In total there are 4no bench rooms and 4 No Machine Halls which all require full wood dust extraction. Dust and Power tool extractions are required to all bench tooms. Dust and power tool extraction is required to all machinery rooms. The Works Contract shall consist of the installation of new Wood Working Machinery Mechanical Dust Exhaust system and all associated ductwork, supports, and ancillary systems and components within the existing woodwork halls at ATU Connemara, Letterfrack Co. Galway. The Works Contract shall also include for builders works and attendances associated with the installations. Builders works shall include formation of ope’s, making good, firestopping, reinstatement of finishes.
