Provision of Funeral Services

The Trust is seeking a single provider for the provision of funeral services including the supply of coffins, chaplaincy services and transportation services. The cost for the supply of mortuary/ storage units for normal, bariatric and super bariatric requirements. will be sought. The successful supplier will have all relevant consents, authorisations, licenses and accreditations required to provide Funeral/Mortuary/ Chaplaincy/ Transport Services. The supply of mortuary/ storage units may be required for normal, bariatric and super bariatric requirements. The supplier will have all relevant consents, authorisations, licenses and accreditations required to provide Funeral/Mortuary/ Chaplaincy/ Transport Services. <br/><br/>The services will include Cremations and Burials for Adults, Burials and Cremations for Pregnancy Loss over 24 weeks gestation and group burials and group cremations for pregnancy loss under 24 weeks gestation<br/>Barts Health services include the following: - <br/>- Transfers of deceased between hospitals. (including infants) (Mile End, Bartholomew, Royal London, Newham, Whipps Cross, Homerton, BHRUT, St Thomas’, GOSH etc) Including Out of hours transfers and collections.<br/>- Provision of storage facilities for approximately 40 bodies on a Purchase/Lease basis at the Trusts site.<br/>- Provision of additional storage facilities at the supplier site. <br/>- Hospital Funerals, collection of the deceased, provision of a coffin, care of the deceased, liaising with third parties to booked the funeral, hearse to crematorium, provision of a conductor and bearers.<br/>- Management of mortuary facilities at the Trust sites.<br/>The Trust is looking for a seven (7) year contract (5 +1+1) for these services. Additional information: The scope includes inter-hospital transfers of deceased including around the London area.
