The Marine Institute invites tenders to this request for tenders from economic operators for the provision of: Charter marine fishing vessel to conduct the Irish Coastal Ecosystem Survey (ICeco). This public procurement competition will be divided into 4 Lots. Each Lot will result in a separate contract. Each lot will be required to provide a vessel charter to conduct an ecosystem based survey which will collect a broad spectrum of information on the coastal areas and inshore nursery grounds. Each Lot charter will run for 10 days in July-September (dependent on weather and necessary derogations), and will require a vessel (approx. 12-15m in length) capable of towing a single demersal trawl and/or beam trawl in shallow waters. The Marine Institute will have a minimum of 3 scientists on board, and an experienced commercial fisherman contracted by the Marine Institute. The Marine Institute will provide all gear.
