Mass haematological screening of prisoners in light of suspected outbreaks Lot 1: This notice is confirmation of an award having been made due to urgent circumstances, due to unforeseeable circumstances not attributable to the relevant authority.<br/><br/>The services are required urgently to secure the delivery of a targeted mass screening programme. The requirement has arisen as an immediate public health intervention in response to identified concerns within the affected population and settings. Prompt screening is necessary to identify active cases, reduce the risk of onward transmission, and protect the health of service users, staff, and the wider community.<br/><br/>The service shall commence on 29/07/2026 and anticipated to conclude at the End of September 2026 after relevant population has been screened. Additional information: This contract has been awarded under Regulation 14 urgent circumstances provision of the Provider selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime)Regulations2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act Regulations 2023 do not apply to this award.<br/><br/>Justification for Urgent Award: The services are required urgently to secure the delivery of a targeted mass screening programme.
