Quarantine Hotel, Tromsø kommune (Tromsø Municipality)

Description

Tromsø kommune (Tromsø Municipality) has a need to sign a contract for a quarantine hotel for travellers arriving from abroad and who do not have heir own accommodation for quarantine. Lot 1: Due to the recent increase in Covid-19 infections in and outside of Norway, on the 5th of November, the Government decided to introduce new measures to prevent the spread of infection. One of the measures is to limit so-called ‘importsmitte’ (import infection), i.e. Infection that comes to Norway from abroad. Requirements have therefore been introduced for stays in quarantine hotels for travellers arriving in the country and who do not have a suitable place to stay for the quarantine. Tromsø municipality has been identified by the County Governor to be one of four municipalities in Troms og Finnmark that will establish quarantine hotels. The measure shall include overnight accommodations for voluntary quarantine and isolation of persons without suitable home addresses. The measure shall include overnight places, follow-up the residents, food services, cleaning and necessary guard/security measures fort the target group. Up until now, consumption has been on average eight guest nights per 24 hour period. IT is anticipated that the situation could change in both directions, and therefore Tromsø Municipality is setting aside up to 15 rooms + up to 20 additional rooms. There must be an option to extend the contract for 3 months x 3 months. The contract has an estimated value of approx. NOK 8 400 000, including options. However, the client reserves the right to estimate the value of the contract, as call-offs on the number of rooms will largely depend on the government's guidelines regarding quarantine hotels. Other information: Individual share private: 500, (paid by private persons themselves) Individual share working travellers 1 500 (paid by the contracting authority) Amount over the individual share will be invoiced to Tromsø Municipality. Only rooms that are actually used will be invoiced.
