Request for Cork based Disaster Recovery Service

Description

An off-site DR facility in Cork with broadband connectivity to, and at least 5 kilometres away from, our Cork head office at the Airport Business Park. The DR facility to have fully redundant UPS power supplies and can provide us with fully redundant external network connectivity, including to the National Health Network (NHN). A disk based backup solution which is compatible with replication from our in-house Rapid Recovery backups – initial size 8TB (tenderers to provide pricing for 1TB increases in disk space). Proof that the physical servers hosting the disk based backups are located in Ireland and proof of the secure integrity of our data separate from other customers at the DR facility. A clear process for the manual fail-over at the DR facility, on a segregated network, with a mirror of our network addressing and DNS to replicate our head office network topology: Access to a firewalled external internet connection (2MB minimum) configured with our existing internet facing IP addresses with VPN capability for our external users. Access on request to the DR facility for 6-monthly testing with appropriate on-site support staff made available. Provision of 5 desks with network connections to our segregated network for use of NCRI staff in case of a full invocation. One shelf in fire-proof safe for storage of essential hardcopy documentation.
