Description

Wiltshire Council requires the provision of a real time passenger information (RTPI) system to provide real time and bus services information, on displays at designated bus stops; via mobile app, website and via open API, including prediction engine, website, content management system and fault management. The maintenance of the RTPI displays will be required for 5 years. Wiltshire Council’s current Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system has been in operation for over 15 years and the current contract due to expire at the end of March 2020. Key requirements for a new system will be to deliver a fully hosted web-based solution with a contractor hosted RTPI server, Tier 3 environment. The solution must be based on mobile telecommunication technology and will require the contractor to obtain bus service data via one or more Siri data feeds from either several bus operators directly or from National Public Transport Information (NPTI). The contractor must provide a content management system with reporting suite and automated fault management, delivery of both real-time and scheduled bus information to displays at designated bus stops, via mobile app and website and via open application programme interface (API) to third party data providers. The contractor will also be required to maintain the current RTPI displays, and upgrade/replace those displays as required.
