Processing & Recycling of Mixed Plastics, Cans and Glass

Renfrewshire Council is currently inviting tenders, from suitably qualified companies for the Treatment of post-consumer recyclate consisting of mixed Glass, Cans and Plastic as defined by the definition of Target Materials. The contract includes the provision of Council staffed refuse collection vehicles (RCV’s) collecting approximately 4000 tonnes per 6 months of post-consumer recyclate consisting of mixed Glass Cans & Plastic from households, commercial premises and recycling centres with the Council subsequently delivering this material to the Service Provider’s treatment site or a designated reception point for onward transportation to the Service Providers own treatment site. It must be noted that that only those materials of mixed Glass, Cans and Plastic collected in twin stream containers at the recycling centres will be party to this contact.
