Clinical staff throughout Health and Care Jersey (HCJ) currently face challenges with clinical documentation that affect both workflow efficiency and quality of patient care. Existing documentation processes are time-consuming, inconsistent, and often completed retrospectively with staff spending an average of 30-40% of their time on manual documentation leading to either after-hours work, a reduced quality of engagement during meetings/consultations, or a reduction in the time clinicians can spend on direct patient care. The proposed solution is the implementation of an Ambient Speech tool that will remove the manual processing required to create patient notes by operating unobtrusively in the background, allowing clinical staff to focus on the conversation while the system handles the administrative output.
