Description

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the “Council”) is seeking to establish a programme for the delivery of tutor-led, non-accredited, community-based numeracy/mathematics courses. Through Count Me In, we want to see our local areas invest in meaningful participation that boosts people’s ability to use maths in their daily life, at home and work – and enable adults to achieve formal qualifications that can open doors for them. Themes that we have considered to help improve numeracy skills are: - • Maths to support ESOL learners • Maths for everyday Life Skills • Maths for Work Skills • Maths leading to Employment The approximate total value for these services will be £310,00 for the entire duration of the programme (September 2025 to July 2027 (2 x academic years). Contracts may also be extended up to a maximum of 50% of the original contract value at the discretion of Kirklees Council subject to availability of funding and performance. The Council intends to appoint up to three (3) suitably qualified Delivery Partners for Lot 1 and up to three (3) delivery partner for Lot 2. Applicants may submit a bid either independently or as part of a partnership. Where a partnership bid is submitted, all sub-delivery partners must be clearly identified within the application. Please note, applicants may only apply for only one lot—either Lot 1 or Lot 2—but not both.
