Description

The Third Midlands EV Infrastructure Consortium (TMeviC), consisting of Lincolnshire County Council, Herefordshire Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Telford & Wrekin Council, came together to bid for and were successful in obtaining Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) capital funding in the amount of £10,193,700. This procurement relates to a joint Project between Midlands Connect (Regional Sub-National Transport Authority) and the Local Authorities that make up the TMeviC. The Project aims to provide local residential charging infrastructure, through the expansion of the number of Electric Vehicle ChargePoints (EVCPs) in areas with high dependence of on-street parking. The Consortium are seeking an Investment Partner to help fully fund a minimum of 4,500 slow / standard ChargePoint sockets and 170 rapid or ultra-rapid ChargePoint sockets. This partner will have full responsibility for the installation and ongoing maintenance of the changepoints and will benefit from a revenue share model with each of the authorities from their ongoing operation. There will be no additional funding provided by the TMeviC or MC, and the requirement will be procured on the basis of a concession contract. Keywords: Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Infrastructure
