High-Pressure capillary Rheometer

Description

DTU intends to order a High-Pressure volumetric barrel-chamber test device – PVT 500 from company OleiniTec Nordic AB and developed and produced by GÖTTFERT. We consider the PVT 500 tobe a unique high-pressure volumetric barrel-chamber test device and it can provide the following capabilities: • Temperature range up to 500 °C (necessary for research on high temperature resistance thermo-plastics) • Testing pressure up to 2500 bar (necessary for research on thin wall injection moulding and micro injection moulding) • Pressure-Temperature-Specific Volume (PVT) measurements at different cooling rates up 30 K/min (necessary for research in the field of high precision injection moulding and extrusion numer-ical simulations) • Includes the analytical software for the extraction of the PVT materials coefficients of the Tait model (necessary for research in the field of high precision injection moulding and extrusion numer-ical simulations, and the for the experimental determination of the material moulding shrinkage) DTU considers that this is the only instrument, which meets our requirements and intends to place a direct award to company OleiniTec Nordic AB.
