Call for Tender for Emergency Works Roof Repair at Bunscoil na Toirbhirte, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

Description

The project includes the repair and upgrading of existing flat roof above complex of buildings at at Bunscoil na Toirbhirte, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, P67 FE82. Aggregate roof works area measures approximately 1141sqm. The complex consists of five flat roofs: Upper Roof (two-storey), Lower Roof (single-storey), Sports Hall Roof (single-storey, approx. 6m above ground level), Lobby Roof (single-storey), Classroom Roof (3 sections at single-storey). A new insulated, warm-roof construction will be installed over the existing felt repaired where necessary and retained as vapour control. New roof layer insulation to achieve compliant thermal performance, and a fully waterproof roof covering, including all associated flashings, trims and upstands. All existing rooflights to be replaced with new as noted in the Scope of Works document. It is intended that the school will remain operational throughout the works or part of the works. As the school will be a live environment, a full and detailed phased construction plan, which places emphasis on the Health and Safety of contractors and school occupants will be required as part of the tender return.
