The procurement is needed as we have a LC-MS/MS instrument that is 14 years old that we can no longer expect to repair if it breaks down. It is uncertain how long the instrument will be operative, and we therefore need a replacement. We also have a need for increased analysis capacity. Analysis instruments of the type liquid chromatography (LC) connected to a mass spectrometer, amongst others, are used to measure relevant substances. The environmental pollutants exist in very low concentrations in the samples, and we therefore need start-of-the-art instrumentation (UHPLC-MS/MS) that has sensitivity in the low nanogram area and is robust enough to analyse a large number of samples for a large breadth of organic environmental pollutants. In order to carry out the wanted large number of analyses, it is important that the instrument has a high guaranteed running time, efficient and flexible software, and we have good service terms.
