Why the work is being done: Metis is the Home Office’s implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud, designed to modernise corporate services by replacing legacy systems with a suite of ERP, HCM, and EPM solutions. It provides core functions such as finance, HR, procurement, and ser-vice management, while enabling integration, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency. The Home Office Metis Services have a specific need for Solution and Technical Architect services to work with suppliers to ensure the correct architecture is being purchased and deployed on the Metis project and that it aligns to Home Office Digital principles. These services will deliver both business and technical solution strategy to support the ongoing enhancements to the system, working towards the Metis goals for digital business services. Problem to be solved: Problem to be solved Design & Deliver a Robust End to End Solution Architecture Provide strategic design, functional/technical deliverables, roadmaps, integrations, and support artefacts for Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Enable a Smooth Transition to Live Service Ensure effective cutover, hyper-care, knowledge transfer, training, and handover into steady state operations. Maintain & Enhance the Oracle Platform Support quarterly releases, monthly patches, automated regression testing, roadmap evolution, and remediation of technical debt. Strengthen Workforce Management & Planning Capabilities Deliver functional and technical designs for workforce management, rostering, and related integrations. Embed Strong Governance, Compliance & Security Provide compliance evidence, security cleared resources, incident management processes, and protective monitoring. Enhance Operational Efficiency & Innovation Leverage automation, digital workflows, RPA, analytics, and innovation activities to add value beyond core requirements. Support Continuous Improvement & Partnering Behaviours Participate in retrospectives, deliver measurable improvements, and demonstrate proactive collaboration. Who the users are and what they need to do: Home Office and Arms Length Bodies (ALB) Metis is the ERP system used by Home Office and ALB from various backgrounds and fields, your work on Metis will be crucial as it provides core functions such as finance, HR, procurement, and service management, while enabling integration, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency. Current phase: Live Existing team: The Metis programme is the backbone of operations across the Home Office.
