Planned Windows & Doors Programme (PM:2020/21)

Description

Taff Housing Associations are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Window and Door installer to supply and fit PVCu windows and composite doors to various Taff Housing owned property types such as houses, flats, large low-rise blocks of flats, sheltered schemes and generally needs domestic properties. The works will entail replacing windows within individual dwellings, entrance doors to domestic properties as well as replacing communal main entrance doors where pre-existing intercom door entry systems will need to be encompassed, refitted and commissioned upon completion. The properties are situated within Cardiff’s inner-city areas of Canton, Riverside, Grangetown, Roath and Heath. General nature of works within this contract will include the following: Carefully remove existing windows and frames and cart away. Prepare for receiving new window. Supply & Fit new windows to comply with (WHQS) Welsh Assembly requirements as per the designed details specified in the Sheltered Scheme specification and Taff Housing’s own supplied specifications.  Include for making good to all areas such as plaster, render, beading, facing brickwork, stonework, touching up all paintwork and repairing all wall paper to the satisfaction of the contract administrator. Disconnecting/ reconnecting and commissioning door entry systems to newly fitted external communal doors. Upon completion cart away spoil and debris and clean all areas affected by the works undertaken within the contract.
