VMIC is seeking a system that automates and accelerates the incubation of environmental plates and the enumeration of colonies on environmental plates. It is looking for a system that can incubate the plates, if required, at two distinct temperatures in two stages (20-25 ºC and 30-30 ºC). Although the approximate number of environmental plates routinely to be incubated is currently not known, a considerable amount of plates is predicted for the validation and routine monitoring of 22 cleanrooms with associated support areas and for the establishment of an environmental monitoring process qualification programme. There is only one system available on the market that can meet VMICs full system requirements including: • the potential of accelerated growth detection and sample automation from start of incubation to evaluation of plates with no manual operator requirement; • autofluorescence imaging to enhance data integrity, compliance and mitigate against false negative results; • large system capacity > 600 plates; • manual and automatic loading capability; • two incubators enables two distinct temperatures with automatic plate transfer from one temperature to the other; • Peltier temperature control on small closed space; • condensation removal unit (CRU) at each reading; • two-way LIMS connection to multiple LIMS providers; • full support with dedicated teams offering a full validation package including IOQ/PQ/MQ service (on site-validation engineer + full documentation).
