Extension Notification of CFM0142 Uniform Document Management System

Description

An extension notice for CFM0142 Uniform Document Management System Lot 1: The Uniform system is the underlying platform primarily used for Planning and Building Standards. The Uniform system is fully integrated into the National eDevelopment Portal allowing online submissions of planning and building standards requests. The DMS (document management system) is used to hold all supporting documentation allowing Council staff to process these requests efficiently and timeously. Other council services also use Uniform for their operational work including, housing, protective services, and environmental health. Uniform is currently the home for the streets and property gazetteers the Council use, these gazetteers are linked into other Council systems so that we can accurately identify individual properties using a UPRN (unique property reference number) so that we can deliver services. As part of our statutory obligation, we automatically upload our data each night to the national systems so that any changes to streets or properties are reflected nationally. We have several online services which are integrated into the Uniform system allowing information to be submitted directly from a member of the public and the back-office teams can handle these in Uniform. As part of a national initiative, The Scottish Government are looking at a potential replacement system for planning and building standards. The Council are engaged in this process with the Scottish Government and by the time this contract comes to an end we should be in a better position to decide if we are able to use this new national approach.
