Description

This is a Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice is to indicate that the University of Aberdeen intends to contract with IPG Photonics for the provision of a continuous wave fibre laser. The University of Aberdeen intends to contract with IPG Photonics for the supply of a compact, continuous wave fibre laser unit having an output level variable up to 15 kW. The unit must be capable of operating both in a laboratory and in the field. It must be compact enough to be transported in a suitable container or trailer and be able to be powered by a generator when deployed in the field. The system must be robust enough for transportation offshore.
