Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to provide the design and construction of sections of a 16 miles of shared-use footpath and associated works within West Lothian. This is the first phase of the shared-use footpath works within West Lothian. The design and construction and upgrading of approximately 850 meters of shared use footpath over 4 locations as part of the development of a 16-mile shared use footpath enabling the creation of a heritage trail. The works included within this contract are of a similar nature for the 4 sites and involve a variety of design and construction of a lowland footpath network. — design of New and existing path routes, — construction of new semi-bound footpaths, — construction of new unbound footpaths, — upgrading of existing unbound footpaths, — erection of new post and rail fencing, — removal of redundant infrastructure (paths, fencing, steps), — repair and upgrade of footpath bridges, — drainage works.
