Creation of a Destination Management Plan for Barnsley

Barnsley Council is seeking to appoint a qualified consultant or consultancy to develop a Destination Management Plan (DMP) for Barnsley Borough. This DMP will provide a strategic direction and operational framework to position Barnsley as a thriving destination, prioritising sustainable growth, increased visitor engagement, and enhanced community value. The plan must align with the wider Destination Management Plan for South Yorkshire and the Barnsley 2030 - The Place of Possibilities Vision (https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/services/our-council/barnsley-2030/). It should involve a collaborative approach that effectively engages both public and private sector stakeholders to align resources and objectives. Funding for this project is being provided by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
