Description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden and GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England (West Midlands) are inviting suitably qualified providers to deliver Alternative Primary Medical Services in Wolverhampton. This Primary Medical Care Service contract has an anticipated start date of 1.8.2016 as the existing contract will cease on 31.7.2016. The successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver service(s) of a continuously high-quality and will be responsive to the needs of the diverse local population. The Provider will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the quality required. There will be a requirement to deliver General Practitioner (GP) Services from existing premises. These services must be provided by GPs and Nurses and the provider will be expected to deliver: — High quality Primary Medical Services responsive to the needs of the local population. — Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health. — Essential services. — All additional services. — All Enhanced Services commissioned by NHS England. — Increased access. The funding mechanism will be based on the Core GMS contract in line with the GMS Statement of Financial Entitlement (SFE) i.e. 75.77 GBP per weighted patient in 2015/16, subject to a 5.39 % Out of Hours deduction (if appropriate). Additional income in relation to QOF and Directed Enhanced Services will then be earned based on activity and sign up. Details of the payments relating to these can be found within the SFE and national DES Directions. All payments will be subject to changes and uplifts dependent on the outcome of the national GP Contract Negotiations. Premises payments are in line with the Premises Cost Directions 2013 (as amended) where applicable. The contract sum will be in respect of NHSE payments only, and will not include income from other commissioners — i.e. Public Health Local Authority (e.g. IUCD, Smoking Cessation) and CCG Local Enhanced Services (LES).
