002712 - Contract for the Provision of Crowd Management & Event Security Services

Description

Durham County Council hosts a number of large-scale festivals and events each year. As a result, the Council require a Provider to manage and provide Crowd Management & Event Security services to ensure all events and festivals operate safely. The following is a list of the types of Durham County Council Festivals and Events which can be expected to take place throughout the duration of this Contract, please note this list is not exhaustive and there is no guarantee that the listed events will take place. • Bishop Auckland Food Festival (BAFF) • Seaham Food Festival (SFF) • BRASS Festival • Gala Theatre & Cinema, Empire Theatre, Durham Town Hall and Bishop Auckland Town Hall • Remembrance Day • Anniversary or one-off special events • Elections This procurement exercise is being undertaken to award a light touch contract, that is, a contract that is wholly or mainly for the supply of services as specified in Procurement Regulations 2024, Schedule 1.
