Consultancy for Business and Industrial Land Review

The Council requires to commission a review of its business and industrial land supply. East Ayrshire Council is commencing work on a new Local Development Plan for East Ayrshire (LDP2) to replace East Ayrshire Local Development Plan (EALDP) 2017. The Main Issues Report (MIR) will be released for publication in spring 2020 and is expected that a Proposed Plan will be complete by 2021. As an important part of evidence gathering, the Council requires to commission a review of its business and industrial land supply (those sites allocated for Use Classes 4, 5 and 6 in the EALDP 2017) in order to better establish market demand for land, as well as to ascertain the area of remaining undeveloped or vacant space within allocated business and industrial sites. These are classified in the EALDP as Mixed Use Opportunity, Miscellaneous Opportunity and Business and Industry Opportunity sites
