The works/goods/services can be provided only by a particular tenderer for reasons that are: technical This interim contract is being awarded to a range of incumbent and well established providers which will work collaboratively to enable the Contracting Authority to ensure a continuity of essential patient services without incurring disproportionate development and mobilisation costs at this time, whilst a review of patient pathways takes place to develop a new service specification involving a broader provision of an integrated MSK service. — This interim contract award for up to 18 months will enable the Contracting Authority to focus its resources to engage with both incumbent and the wider market to review and develop a service specification for a broader, integrated MSK service. — Market engagement will commence early 2018 through the publishing of a Prior Information Notice (PIN) on OJEU and an Early Engagement Notice via Contracts Finder to invite expressions of interest to deliver future MSK and to assist the Contracting Authority to specify its future requirements. — Following this market engagement, the Contracting Authority will finalise its commissioning intentions for a substantive and longer term contract for the provision of MSK services which are intended to commence 2019, ensuring appropriate transparency and opportunity for interested providers at that time.
