The Merlin system software relays fire, lift, and Intrusion alarm signals from each building to the main security lodge. This alerts Security to the activation of alarms for investigation and is, as such, a significant part of the life-safe system on Campus. It must be serviceable and compatible with existing software systems at the University. This is a variation to include phone network coverage to the system as a safeguarding measure.
