Provision of Chainsaw Training and Assessment for DFI Roads and Rivers, and DAERA Forest Service staff

Description

The Department for Infrastructure Training Centre (DFITC) and DAERA Forest Service are seeking to establish a Framework for the provision of training and assessment of LANTRA Awards for Roads and Rivers, and Forest Service employees within Northern Ireland; to ensure that the work activity meets industry standards and is conducted to required health and safety requirements. Candidates are to be trained to national standards as laid down by the appropriate awarding bodies (LANTRA) and regulatory authorities for the safe use of chainsaws in a given range of specific work activities. Where assessment is required, candidates are to be assessed to national standards as laid down by the appropriate awarding body LANTRA or City and Guilds and regulatory authorities.
