Contract for Fire stopping/sealing at Griffith John Street Flats

Swansea Council intends to appoint a third party accredited company to carry out the firestopping / sealing at the 3 blocks in Griffith John street. This will be carried out on completion of our in house Electrical rewire of the communal areas across the 3 blocks.The third party accredited contractor will be required to fire seal/stop all holes made when removing the existing system and also the holes made when rewiring the communal areas at Griffith John Street Blocks 1-3. The rewiring is to be carried out by Swansea council, removal of existing system is to be carried out by Swansea council on completion of new install. Provisional Quantities/sizes of holes will be stated in Section 2 – price list.All drilling of holes and making good of holes through any compartmentation shall be fire sealed. The holes shall be clearly identified with a unique serial number per hole, the holes shall be identified on a drawing along with the serial number and a photo of the hole [sealed], this work shall be carried out by an accredited third party.
