Description

Under the terms set out in the proposed Framework Agreement, the Department shall be under no obligation to purchase any minimum value of goods. Any contract that may result from this Competition will be issued for a term of twelve months. Provision is made in the agreement to allow for three extensions, each of twelve months duration, to be added to the term. The potential aggregate term of the Framework Agreement of four years from early 2014, dovetails with the target set in the Department’s Payment Strategy for complete transition from cheques to electronic payments by the end of 2017. As the formal contract with the current supplier of EDP Cheques / Payslips has expired it is anticipated that a new contract for this service could be in place by early 2014.
