HSE Estates SW: Generator Maintenance for Cork South Maintenance Area

The Contracting Entity is undertaking a competitive tender process to award a Contract to meet the following requirements: The Contracting Authority intends to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractors to perform the following duties: The contract for generators shall include a structured service plan comprising Major and Minor Visits, both carried out in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and HSE protocols. A Major Visit involves a full range of maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, checking electrical and control connections, inspecting battery levels, adjusting belts, and verifying the operation of the cooling system, alarms, and load transfer functions. A Minor Visit includes essential checks and top-ups without replacing major components unless required. To ensure reliability, the generator should be tested annually to 100 percent of its rated load. Parts and consumables beyond standard oil and filters are billed separately by agreement. All reports, invoices and quotations including documentation to be issued in full following a service/repair as per HSE protocols in a timely manner . 24 hour on call service required and red warning storm cover for our sites as per HSE protocols Call-out charges apply from dispatch to site, with different hourly rates depending on the time and day: • Normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm) • Evening and overnight hours (5 pm – 8 am, Monday to Friday) • Saturday (8 am – 5 pm) • Weekends and public holidays (Saturday 5 pm – Monday 8 am) Further Information can be found in Section 3.
