Study of the petroleum-orientated supplier industry

Description

This study will provide a quantitative, qualitative and systematic collection and analysis of information on, among other things, value creation, employment and turnover (exports and sales through subsidiaries) internationally from the Norwegian petroleum-oriented supplier industry. In addition, it will provide answers regarding the significance of international activity for the Norwegian-based industry, including value creation and employment. The contracting authority also needs to have up-to-date knowledge of turnover and employment among the Norwegian suppliers of carbon capture and storage in both the Norwegian market and the international market for petroleum and carbon capture. Lot 1: OED provides background information and talking points to political leaders on the petroleum-orientated supplier industry's value creation, employment and activity internationally. International petroleum-related activity/exports have become very extensive, while there have also been significant changes in activity in recent years due to developments in oil prices, cost levels in the industry and not least operational costs and challenges related to COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine. It will be important for OED to have good knowledge of the activity level of Norwegian-based supplier companies, including structural changes in the petroleum-oriented industry.
