Tender for the Supply, Installation of Rental Portacabins at Medite Europe DAC ‘26

Description

MEDITE Europe DAC has plans to modernize their MDF facility with an investment in new plan and equipment collectively called Project Shine. Project Shine involves the installation of the following: • Wet fuel handling system. • Dry Fuel handling system. • 56MW Biomass Energy. • MDF dryers. • Services + utilities to the above, mainly: o Compressed air o Water treatment systems o Fire detection + suppression o Natural Gas o Steam o Storm and foul water o Bunds where necessary Project Shine is shortly commencing the construction phase of the project and proposals are sought for the supply, installation and eventual removal of a range of Portacabins for use as temporary accommodation. The scope of works includes for the supply, installation and eventual removal of a range of Portacabins for use as temporary accommodation. An outline Contractor Compound Layout is attached in appendices. This contract includes for the supply of all offices, containers, welfare facilities (showers, toilets urinals, sinks), drying rooms, first aid room and canteens for the durations outlined in appendices. The proposal provided by the specialist must comply with the following: a) All delivery, offloading, positioning, assembly, lift plans, stairs erection, removal is part of this scope of supply. b) All offices, welfare facilities, drying rooms etc must be fit for purpose with capability of additional units if required. c) All office portacabins must have the following d) All toilet facilities must have e) All shower units must have the following f) All drying portacabins must have the following g) All canteen units must have the following h) Meeting Room portacabin must have the following i) First Aid Room and Permit Office portacabins must have the following j) Security portacabins must have the following k) Miscellaneous l) All design and certification requirements for the electrical and plumbing requirements as detailed above are the responsibility of the portacabin supply company. m) All portacabins must be non-slip flooring design n) All portacabins must be suitably fire rated. o) All portacabins must have smoke wired detectors. p) All stairs access must comply with regulations + standards. q) Supply + installation of WIFI/Ethernet service is not part of this scope. r) Supply + installation of fire extinguishers is not part of this scope. s) Connection of water, wastewater + sewage is not part of this scope. t) Services to all offices, containers welfare facilities etc is not part of this scope of supply. u) The site compound will be prepared by the appointed civil contractor to provide a level hardcore standing. v) The portacabin supplier must allow for the co-ordination of the layout with the client or client representative. Medite have attempted to interpret the requirements for the construction compound. Since the Supplier is an expert, the Supplier is asked to advise Medite of suitable additional equipment/systems and its requirements that are not fulfilled and to provide an option price for same. Summary of Proposed Investment: The key components of Project Shine are as follows: • Installation of a Wet Fuel handling system to supply the energy plant. • Installation of a Dry Fuel handling system to supply the energy plant. • Installation of an Energy Plant for thermal oil heating and supplying hot gas to the dryers. • Installation of a face + core Dryer. • Integration into the existing plant. It is proposed to implement Project Shine in several phases, mainly: • Equipment Vendor selection • Detailed Design • Utilities + Services Tendering Process • Issuing of contracts • Enabling works • Civil works • Equipment assembly and erection works • Commissioning of all equipment • Handover ** Please see the Tender Document attached for the full and Complete scope of Works as well as drawings ***
