CP2374-23 Community Services Provider Directory

Description

This will facilitate the establishment of a Provider Directory: Community Services which Commissioners will utilise to procure community based service provision. This will establish a more streamlined procurement process, enabling service commissioning to take place more quickly with initial supplier checks having been completed. The Provider Directory will be open both to providers regulated with CQC and those that are not. Initially the Provider Directory will be utilised to procure Personal Care at Home, Day and Enabling Services. In future this may be extended to incorporate further activities such as Housing with Support and replacement Care. The Provider Directory will be available to DCC, the ICB and potentially neighbouring authorities and public sector partners. Suppliers will be able to join the list at any time. The is no expenditure attached to this contract which is acting to streamline procurement for both suppliers and the Authority; suppliers don’t have to demonstrate suitability and capability every time they wish to compete for a public sector contract, and the award of individual tenders can be quicker.
