Revenue Scotland is seeking to appoint a single suitably qualified and experienced provider to provide witness training modules to its staff and nominated third parties, primarily in connection with appeals to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland Tax Chamber (FTTS) but also the Scottish courts. Revenue Scotland is seeking to appoint a single suitably qualified and experienced provider to provide the following training modules to its staff and nominated third parties, primarily in connection with appeals to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland Tax Chamber (FTTS) but also the Scottish courts:- Module 1: Witness familiarisation training: designed to ensure that the Purchaser’s staff and others who are required to give evidence, whether as witnesses of fact or expert witnesses, undergo a process of familiarisation to gain knowledge of the procedures involved, and the skills and confidence to give oral evidence from the witness box and, where appropriate, to present expert evidence effectively. Module 2: Witness statement writing training: covering best practice in writing statements, including content, layout and style, to improve the quality and effectiveness of witness statements prepared by the Purchaser’s staff for FTTS appeals. The Service Provider may be required to deliver the modules virtually or face to face. As specified in the pricing schedule, training may be offered as part of pre-existing public training modules, or for groups of the Purchaser’s staff on a bespoke basis.
