Invitation to Quote for the Provision of Planned and Reactive Road Maintenance Services Including Snow Clearing

Orkney Islands Council are looking to establish an agreement for the provision of plant and machinery on an as required basis for the hire of various construction plant such as excavators, cranes, tractors and trailers and other heavy machinery. The purpose of this hire would be to provide assistance with planned and reactive road management services and maintenance activities including winter treatment and snow clearing Lot 1: Orkney Islands Council are looking to establish an agreement for the provision of plant and machinery on an as required basis for the hire of various construction plant such as excavators, cranes, tractors and trailers and other heavy machinery. The purpose of this hire would be to provide assistance with planned and reactive road management services and maintenance activities including winter treatment and snow clearing. Typically, the duration will be short term on an as required basis for road maintenance works, street lighting works, drainage works and winter service provision, allowing for flexibility in hiring various equipment as required. The tender will be for a period of 12 months commencing 1 April 2025 and expiring on 31 March 2026.
