Review and Analysis of Public Sector AI Procurement Guidance

Compliant procurement and effective commercial processes are critical for successfully sourcing and securing Artificial Intelligent (AI) tools, systems, services and solutions efficiently and ethically across the UK public sector. Life Sciences Hub Wales seeks to procure the services of a suitably capable and experienced provider (the successful supplier) to: - Map Wales’ current approach to the procurement of AI within the public sector; - Identify gaps and benchmark against wider UK and global practices; and - Recommend a streamlined framework for the successful and compliant procurement of AI within the Welsh public sector. Life Sciences Hub Wales requires that the successful supplier will, further to review and gap analysis (etc) develop a comprehensive framework of procurement and commercial considerations concerning the effective procurement of AI, that provides references to existing guidelines and aligns with legal and ethical standards whilst enabling efficient AI tool, system, service and/or solution acquisition and implementation.
