South East Wales Satellite Renal Dialysis Services

Description

Cardiff and Vale UHB (C&VUHB) are commissioned by the Welsh Kidney Network (WKN) to provide Dialysis services to patients residing in ABUHB, C&V UHB & CTUHB. The current contracts with the Independent Service Providers are due to expire in 2027 and C&V UHB wish to commence exploring opportunities in delivery of these services. To this effect, C&VUHB along with the WKN are looking to undertake pre-market engagement to gain insight into the following areas (but not limited to); - Current market capacity for unit dialysis - Potential innovative solutions for the delivery of unit dialysis including closer to home arrangements, digital solutions for example, to provide capability in planning and management or to reduce resource limitations - Exploration of potential ‘Value in Health’ approaches to the patient pathway for adults requiring Kidney Replacement Therapy in both unit dialysis and home therapies - Aligning ISP services with home dialysis (HDD, CAPD, APD and PD) and in hospital services for potential streamlined patient pathways
