Description
Derby City Council (the Council) is undertaking this procurement to establish a contract for the provision of bulking and haulage of Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) collected by (or on behalf of) the council and delivered by Waste Collection Vehicles. The Council collects c.20ktpa of DMR from households within the Council boundary. In addition, 550tpa of DMR is collected by a third party from commercial premises within the Council Boundary. The initial contract period is 2 years; the contract is estimated to commence 9th June 2025 and expire 8th June 2027. There will be an option to extend the contract for 3 years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is 5 years.
